dreadful. I will not go back

the bed had 2 mattresses, one much higher than the other. furniture was basic and this is supposed to be a grand hotel. breakfast was terrible. was to make the tea was tepid. eggs and bacon were cold. shower sprayed everywhere except on me only one small bulb in the bathroom, the other didn’t work. no tissues in box.

What was the highlight of Grand Hotel Michelacci
The hotel was ok - but no more than that. I would suggest it is showing its age in some areas.
The location of the hotel next to the beach was good, and the check in/check out process was simple and straightforward. Room was clean and - if a little limited on facilities. In terms of vale for money - it was quite good for an out of season long weekend getaway, provided the expectation is in line with the rates.
The breakfast was limited and inconsistent - one morning a cooked option was offered, the next it wasn't. Our stay coincided with a large party of school children using the hotel - little or no attempt was made to control the noise or the disruption to common areas (entrance/exit, lift, reception etc) as large groups congregated and made it nearly impossible to pass or use facilities. The wi-fi, although free to use, was virtually useless (although this may have been due to the large group all using the facility), and for a large hotel - the bar was small, poorly stocked and infrequently manned. However - we were visiting in early May before peak season starts so this may have been reflected in staffing and facilities.

What was the highlight of Grand Hotel Michelacci
Lots of staff but lots of inconvenience.
The breakfast service was good. The location of the hotel is right on the beach. Staff was friendly. The price was excellent.
The room was very small and it was very stuffy when I arrived. I tried to cool down the room, but the system only has heat. To cool the room, you have to leave the windows open. I was worried about mosquitoes getting in, but I also wanted to sleep so I took my chances and got lucky regarding mosquitoes. The internet was incredibly poor. It had a very weak signal that made opening anything a test of patience. While waiting, it would often just disconnect. The small room also had some crumbling plaster by the heating unit.
